What Is Eco?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) mandates energy firms to assist households in need of fuel bill support, serving as a government initiative to reduce carbon emissions. Through the installation of efficiency measures in homes across England, Scotland, and Wales, energy suppliers achieve sustainable savings.
What Is Eco4?
Introduced in 2013, ECO has facilitated 3.1+ million measures in 2.3+ million homes. ECO4, effective from April 1, 2022, signifies a new phase with revised regulations. Spanning from April 2022 to March 2026, ECO4 incentivises energy companies to facilitate home upgrades, such as insulation and heating improvements. This initiative aligns with the UK’s sustainability objectives, benefiting households and the environment concurrently.
